Mor Ev restaurant Milas Akbuk Iasos

Image
Restaurants near Bodrum The Mor Ev is a fantastic restaurant located on the Road Milas to Akbuk road opposite the turn off to Iasos. As you can see from the photos, it has a lovely natural feel with hand made wooden structures throughout. The view is fantastic across the fields towards Mandalya - Gulluk bay.  The location is quite isolated, and there is no electric supply and is self sufficient using solar panels with a backup generator. The lounge area is very comfortable and off the the side is a small room with craft-ware for sale. Having visited this restaurant on numerous occasions, I can recommend the food at very reasonable prices

Although the Kar considered the mainland of Anatolia their homeland, it is thought that they were a seafaring people who migrated here from Greece. The father of history Herodotus, a native of Bodrum, estimated that the history of his birthplace dated to the first millenium BC. However, after the occupation of Anatolia by the Persians, a Carian (of the Kar) city was founded in the region of Caria, but kept under Persian control.  The Carian people are mentioned in many historical documents as one of the seagoing races and in 480 B.C.
