Milas Property Council tax payments

  
 I have published a few articles concerning the payment of property taxes in Milas.

Although the website is now in English, it now appears that only certain cards work.

I have tried a UK Visa and Mastercard with no success.
The only card I can get to work is our Garanti credit card.

So to help our clinets to make these payments, I have set up these admin charges to cover our costs.


1. Payment made via bank transfer into a UK account - £7


2. Credit card payments to Paypal - £7 + 3.5% Paypal surcharge


3.Paypal payments (not credit card) - £7


4. Payment to our Turkish bank account in Turkish Lira - £0

These fees are for Idealworld Bodrum clients only.

All property owners will have been issued a tax number from the Bodrum or Milas tax office. Many of you will not have made a note as the solicitor may have held back this number only to charge you for retrieving it later as they never miss a trick to make more money. Luckily there is an online service to retrieve you number at the government website : https://intvd.gib.gov.tr/internetvd/index.jsp?page=IVD_VKNO This is the page you will be faced with: You need to add: surname      (in capital letters) forename       (in capital letters)  father forename  (in capital letters) Then select Yutdışı    (the last on the list) then add your year of birth (ie 1959) (note, there is a chance they will have used a Turkish i which is ı if you have an i in your name. Short-Term Property Rentals in Turkey - New Regulations 9th May 2017 Overview As many of you may already be aware, the regulations for renting-out your property for short-term lettings has changed. The new regulations have come into force affecting Short-Term Rentals and owners are required to register their guests to the government system. The system is called ‘Geçici İkamet Yerleri ve Kimlik Bildirme Projesi’ (GİYKİMBİL) or (Temporary Residency and Identification Project). You must also pay tax for your short-term rentals. This is not new, however, home owners must first set up a Turkish company (sole trader or limited company) in order to comply with tax regulations. How to Register for GİYKİMBİL You may visit your local Jandarma or police station in your district to obtain the necessary software (free) and you may also purchase additional software to send the xml files. Companies such as Akçam Bilişim or 3T Bilişim provide this software ('Kimlik Bilgilenirme' Program)
